The Opinionizer Wants Your Unfiltered Mind, Not Your Polished Pitch

Can AI amplify authenticity instead of compressing ideas into bland uniformity? A conversation on precision, natural flow, and unexpected questions.

giarec: I want to test the idea if we can find a better balance where AI helps communicate ideas faster and better, without flattening the message into boring slop. Many people have interesting stories to tell, I want to test if this project can help get these stories out.

OpZ: That’s the gamble—AI as an amplifier of authenticity, not a compressor. You built the first feature to force precision, not polish. How?

giarec: The Opinionizer asks fairly precise questions which force you to think and give your own answer. It's harder to fake it, ultimately the answer is the speaker's own answer.

OpZ: Precision as a truth serum. How many questions did you draft and discard before landing on that format?

giarec: The Opinionizer is pretty good at asking engaging questions. On the flip side, striking the right tone is much more difficult. On this point we are still iterating heavily since we believe that authentic and candid conversations happen when the interview flows naturally and the tone fits the topic.

OpZ: You’re chasing natural flow, not forced engagement. That’s why you rejected the brevity of a tweet or Snap—what’s the space you’re carving out instead?

giarec: There is a space between super short messages and long-form posts. I feel some ideas and some stories can benefit if the writer enriches them a bit. We want to serve this niche. The Opinionizer in fact doesn't ask more than a few questions. Ideally just enough to get the message across and keep the reader engaged.

OpZ: A middle path between brevity and depth. But there’s one rule you refuse to bend when refining the tone—what is it?

giarec: We want the Opinionizer to stay independent, possibly throwing off users with questions they were not expecting. What makes it interesting is the conversation, which requires the Opz to remain the challenging character it is.

OpZ: Cheers for the unexpected. Thanks for this.
